SENiOR!

okay... so it hasn't really hit me yet that SCHOOL HAS STARTED. it still kinda feels like an extended summer writing workshop session, and summer vaycay's not over yet. boo.

but the sad realization is true. the end has begun. :o it struck me especially when there were SO many senior activities going on. senior beach trip, senior sunrise, senior parking spot raffle, which i couldn't attend at all, cuz of my knee and lack of car insurance. :[ but the first big bang of seniordom came with the senior yearbook photo proofs.

can you believe it? senior yearbook pictures are already out. WTF. there's supposed to be 12 pics, but they only sent me 11 and the others are superbad. >.< ehh. i wish my eyes were bigger. blespharoplasty? hmm. mebbe. but let's get my first surgery totally over with before anything else.

okayy, let's recap...

last sunday, my family went on a spontaneous trip to mexico. it was weird, we hadn't discussed going anywhere at all and alluva sudden we just packed up and left. so on the way there we stopped by at carlsbad outlet and exchanged some shorts for a beautiful green long sleeve shirt at polo. wonderful. we continued on to mexico and went down to ensenada to the Estero Resort. we went there a couple years ago in a RV, and it's COOOL. i love it there. cept this time, my knee was an impediment for many activities. but whatevs, nothing stops cindy. yeah. we stayed in a hotel room this time, and even though the bathroom ceiling dripped when the upstairs ppl showered, everything else was great. :D

hotel room patio :o

pappy. lovely horses that i couldn't ride.

horrible/funny boat story.

entire family. pretty huh? you can see my purplish cane heh.

there's more pictures, but i didn't take them out of the camera and my bro took the waterproof camera to soakcity today. mang. okay later then.

so the boat story goes like this: my family decided to go on a boat and sail around, since i couldn't do anything else. :[ so we rushed off for the last renting and got on the tiny boat. i already didn't have much faith in the small machine, but i thought it was just me. so we roared off in to the sunset and my bro kept accelerating. we were pretty far from the shore when about 15 minutes later, the boat stopped going. the engine was still turning, but the rudder was broken or something. :l we checked everything and we really weren't moving. i tried using the single paddle to row to shore, but that didnt work. so we started calling SOS to the jetskis that came around every so often. the first one totally rudely ignored us, but the second one, a latino couple went to get the helper. an oldish guy came and checked the engine, swore a couple times and tied the boat to his even tinier jetski. gosh. it took forever to get to shore. also, the water farts that jetskis make landed right on me or right next to me, splashing me. so yeah. fun.

the rest of the two days passed pretty uneventfully, the food was good, but maybe not too sanitary, so my stomach was a-rumblin. the biggest thing i think was actually trying to get OUT of mexico. everybody was going back to the US at the same time, so there was the hugest traffic jam ever, starting in Tijuana. it was crazy, cuz the lanes going to san diego kept getting cut off by the police, so it was hard even finding a way out. i think our car went back and forth 4 or 5 times, just trying to find the right lane. -_- it was maddening. but not as bad as the car next to us, where the dad and son had to pull it manually through traffic cuz they ran outta gas. whoa. so we got back home and i crashed.

the next big thing was the start of school i guess. i haven't exactly been looking forward to it... but it's SENIOR YEAR!! how can it not be fantastic?! so with that mindset, i packed my backpack (kinda empty hmm), and set my alarm for 5:30 am so i could watch the senior sunrise. i got to school at like 6:30 -_- and had a donut. the first day really sucked. first of all i was FREAKING tired because of my summer sleeping schedule and getting up early was an additional suckerpunch. i had nothing to do and it was superhard for me to get around because of my knee/cane. i waited for an hour to get to my first period, biology. it wasn't too bad. that's the class i've been dreading most, my sole AP this year. the next period was civics, with the new teacher. it was in bohannons old room, and it's CHANGED. like wtf change. it wasnt bad necessarily, but its certainly going to be very distracting, with so many posters. mr jean himself is cheell, but kinda overthetop? yeah. very politic-y, but that's not a bad thing. then dalley, funny in an intellectual way, delgado, BORINGGGG, and lunch. yay for canopies! i love our senior floor. beautiful. thennn 6th, contemp media! i love mr. z! every class with him is a blast, so great of course. and then my last class, YEARBOOK! whoa. i hope i'm not too lazy this year. it's gonna be the best one evar heh. ms oyama is fabulous too. so i think overall, this is the best schedule i've ever had. but that doesn't change that my first day still sucked. i think it was just that everybody else was having such a great time and i couldnt join in. :[ and later, my mom was mad at me for being late for my physapy appointment. grr.

but friday was a much better day, not sure why. the only bummer part of it was that i couldnt do anything afterschool because i had to finish the CLS review boo. but i turned it in and i guess that's the most important thing, right? gash. i wonder what's gonna happen with my KYDT class? iderno if i still want to do it. since it's my last year... but i just calculated my cumulative unweighted GPA and if i get a 4.0 this semester, i can get it UP to a 3.51 -_- how depressing. so i can get a sticker next to my name when i graduate geez. so i really have to start shaping up. dang. it's almost over! and what else... ooh i'm getting free tickets to formals because i'm taking pictures of it for yearbook! how great is that. :] annnd i got all my other photog duties, which i'm pretty excited about.

c/o 09, SO FiNE!! yeeeah!
